We are excited to have Dr. Andrea Burgess, a board-certified OB-GYN specialist and Colorado native, join Boulder Medical Center. Dr. Burgess now sees patients at our Boulder and Longmont locations, providing expert, patient-centered care to the community she knows and loves.
Dr. Burgess was born at Lutheran Hospital in Lakewood and grew up in the foothills near Morrison, Colo. Her passion for healthcare began in 6th grade when she dreamed of becoming a doctor or a marine biologist—despite an initial fear of the ocean! Reflecting on her career path, Dr. Burgess says, “From that moment, I felt a calling towards healthcare that never wavered.”
With a patient-centered and collaborative philosophy, Dr. Burgess emphasizes the importance of personalized care. “Each person’s story is unique, and care needs to reflect that,” she explains. “Everyone deserves a chance to thrive.” Whether it’s a successful vaginal delivery or a post-surgical recovery, Dr. Burgess finds inspiration in working with her medical team to guide patients through their healthcare journeys.
An advocate for reproductive consent and choice, Dr. Burgess is also a safe and accepting ally to LGBTQ+ community members.
When she’s not in the clinic, Dr. Burgess enjoys spending time outdoors with her family, hiking, camping, running, practicing yoga, and cruising on her e-bike. She also enjoys gardening and growing her vegetables.
