About Margaret Lafferty-Oza
Dr. Lafferty-Oza grew up in a small farming community on Lake Ontario in upstate New York. During her last year of medical school in Kentucky she met her husband Sameer, and they were married in 1999. Dr. Lafferty-Oza practiced medicine in rural Oklahoma prior to beginning her practice at the Boulder Medical Center. They moved their three daughters, two dogs and a cat to Boulder in 2005. Dr. Lafferty-Oza’s interests outside of medicine include baking, hiking, crafts, and spending time with her family.
Specialty Areas
Dr. Lafferty-Oza attended St. John Fisher College in Rochester, New York where she majored in Biology. She then attended graduate school at Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire where she completed a graduate project in bacterial genetics. Having decided she liked the field of medicine and wanting more interaction with people than the lab offered, she attended the State University of New York at Buffalo where she received her medical degree. Dr. Lafferty-Oza started her residency at the Children’s Hospital of Buffalo and completed the residency at Kosair Children’s Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.
Dr. Lafferty-Oza believes that children are ingenious, uninhibited bundles of potential at any age. She finds it very rewarding to watch them grow physically, mentally and spiritually. The bottom line is, Dr. Lafferty-Oza enjoys all aspects of pediatric medicine.

Dr. Lafferty-Oza is board certified in Pediatrics. Dr. Lafferty-Oza is a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatrics, and a member of the Colorado Medical Society and the Boulder County Medical Society.
