As we welcome Lyndsay Lev, our newest Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM), to our Boulder and Longmont OB/GYN practices, we also want to highlight the benefits that CNMs bring to women’s healthcare.
When you think of midwives, you might picture someone assisting with births. While this is an essential aspect of midwifery, Certified Nurse Midwives (CNMs) offer much more. They are advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs) with specialized training in midwifery, holding nursing and midwifery degrees and national certification.
CNMs provide a broad spectrum of services, from gynecological exams and prenatal care to childbirth assistance, postpartum support, and even primary care for women. What makes CNMs unique is their focus on personalized, holistic care that blends evidence-based knowledge with a patient-centered approach.
Lyndsay’s journey to midwifery began in 2010, starting with her nursing degree and master’s in midwifery. With over seven years of experience, she brings her expertise and compassionate care to our Boulder and Longmont clinics.
“I am dedicated to building and nurturing long-term relationships with my patients, providing care from pregnancy and birth to annual exams and the journey through menopause,” explains Lyndsay. “It is a privilege to be entrusted with patients’ health and well-being throughout their lives.”
Her services include:
- Annual Gynecological & Well-Woman Exams: Routine check-ups to monitor and maintain women’s reproductive health, tailored to each stage of life.
