Kimberly Lerner, M.D. - Endocrinology
Dr. Kimberly Lerner joined Boulder Medical Center in October 2012 after she completed her Endocrinology fellowship. Her love of the outdoors brought her to Boulder with her husband and daughter. She enjoys hiking, skiing, and spending time in the snow.
MEDICAL TRAINING AND SPECIALTY
Dr. Lerner graduated cum laude from the University of Denver with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. She then did medical research before going to medical school at the University of Southern California. After medical school she moved to Providence, Rhode Island to complete her residency training in Internal Medicine at Brown University. She then came to Colorado for a year to work as a hospitalist before moving to California to do her fellowship training at Stanford University. She has a special interest in Diabetes, Insulin Resistance, and preventing the potential complications of Diabetes.
Dr. Lerner’s practice deals with a broad range of endocrine based diseases and disorders including Diabetes, thyroid disorders, thyroid cancer, parathyroid disorders, osteoporosis, menopause, adrenal disorders, pituitary disorders, and PCOS - Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome.
Dr. Lerner is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. She is a member of the Endocrine Society, the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, and the Colorado and Boulder County Medical Societies.
